Fenyx Health Group Medicare Advantage MSA Plans
At Senior Health Advocates, we believe Medicare should give you peace of mind, not headaches. As your trusted local advocates in Lake City (and beyond), we guide you toward plans that put you in the driver’s seat.
What is a Group Medicare Advantage MSA Plan?
A Medicare Medical Savings Account (MSA) plan is a type of Medicare Advantage plan that combines a high-deductible health plan with a medical savings account.
You use funds from the savings account (deposited by the plan) to pay for healthcare costs initially. Once you meet the high annual deductible, the plan covers your expenses (often at 100% for Medicare-covered services). This gives beneficiaries more control over healthcare choices while protecting against major costs.
(Plans typically have no monthly premium beyond Part B, nationwide provider access like Original Medicare, and unused savings roll over year to year.)

How does a Group Medicare Advantage MSA plan work?
- $0 Monthly Premium — No cost to members (beyond Medicare Part B premium), by law.
- Annual MSA Deposit — Upfront cash deposited into your personal, tax-advantaged account — use for qualified medical expenses, save, or invest (where allowed).
- High-Deductible Coverage — Pays 100% for Medicare Parts A & B services (hospital, doctor visits, preventive, emergency, labs, etc.) after you meet the annual deductible.
- Funds Roll Over & Grow — Unused MSA money stays in your account year after year and belongs to you — potential to build savings over time.
- Nationwide Provider Access — See any Medicare-participating provider in all 50 states + D.C. — no networks, no referrals, no prior authorizations (beyond Medicare rules).
- Tax Advantages — Deposits not taxed when used for qualified medical expenses (similar to HSA).
- No Built-in Part D — Pair with a separate standalone prescription drug plan for meds.
- $0 Group Fees (in many plans) — Affordable for employers, unions, associations, or groups of any size.
Who is Eligible for a Fenyx Health MSA Plan?
To enroll in a Fenyx Health Group Medicare Advantage Medical Savings Account (MSA) plan, individuals must meet the following requirements established by Medicare and the plan:
- Be enrolled in both Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B.
- Be an eligible beneficiary of the group (e.g., retiree, active employee, spouse, or dependent) offering the plan through their employer, union, association, or similar organization.
- Live in the plan’s service area (all 50 states plus Washington, D.C.).
- Not be enrolled in Medicaid (not dual-eligible).
- Not have other coverage that would pay toward the MSA plan’s deductible, such as TRICARE, Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, Federal Employee Health Benefits Program (FEHBP), or other employer/group health coverage.
Note: These plans are group-sponsored, so eligibility also depends on the employer or group making the Fenyx Health MSA option available to its Medicare-eligible members (e.g., retirees or employees).
